The section ESA is accommodated in Building S2|02 (Piloty-Building, Hochschulstr. 10) in the old part of the University close to the centre of Darmstadt. The rooms are situated in section E on the ground floor of the northern wing, which can be reached via the main entrance on the east side (see markings on the map). - by car
- Leave the motorway A5 or A67 at exit Darmstadt, follow the signs to the city centre (Innenstadt, Darmstadt Mitte). The radial road named Rheinstrasse will take you to the centre. A column is visible there already from a distance. Follow the sign City-Ring. You will get to Hochschulstrasse by entering a tunnel. In the tunnel keep left and continue follwing the curvy circular road (City-Ring). You have to turn left approx. 500 m after the tunnel exit, the road will not continue straight ahead. Cross an intersection and turn right into Alexanderstrasse (sign towards Rödermark) just before the City-Ring makes a left turn. At that point you will see the administrative building of TU Darmstadt ahead. Take next left into Magdalenenstrasse and follow the street. After the first left curve, turn left into Hochschulstrasse and proceed to its end. On your right hand side behind a gate you will find building S2|02.
(Parking places are scarce, you are advised to use the parking lot Schloßgarage at the City-Ring or another multi-storey car park in the vicinity)

- You will arrive at the airport Frankfurt/Main. From the airport you take the bus Airliner, which leaves every 30 minutes for Darmstadt from platform 14, just in front of the Termial 1. The tickets are sold by the driver and cost EUR 6,80. After about 25 minutes the Airliner reaches Darmstadt central station (Hauptbahnhof). Take a bus (Airliner tickets remain valid) line F (direction Oberwaldhaus) or H (direction Kesselhutweg) and get off at Alexanderstrasse/TU. From the bus stop walk back 30 m and turn right into Magdalenenstrasse. Take next left (Hochschulstrasse) and proceed to its end. On your right hand side behind a gate you will find building S2|02.
A taxi from the airport to the city costs about EUR 45.

- You will arrive at the cental station (Hauptbahnhof) of Darmstadt. Take the bus line F towards Oberwaldhaus or line H towards Kesselhutweg. You get tickets at a vending machine at the station or on the bus; a ticket costs EUR 1,30. Get off at the bus stop Alexanderstraße/TU (the trip takes about 10 minutes). You have to go back 30 m and turn right into Magdalenenstrasse and again left into Hochschulstrasse. At its end on the right hand side, walk through the gate to building S2|02.
If you don't want to use the bus, you can go on foot. You will need 20 to 30 minutes. In this case, leave the station via its eastern exit (Ausgang Ost) and go straight ahead generally. Turn left into Magdalenenstrasse and later again left into Hochschulstrasse. At its end on the right hand side, walk through the gate to building S2|02.
