Information for Students, especially from India, seeking Internships

First of all, many thanks for taking the time to actually visit our web pages before sending an application for an internship! As you can see, our research group is active in areas that require experience in a wide spectrum of fields (computer architecture, digital logic design, operating systems internals, compiler construction, EDA tool algorithms, etc.). Given the short length (8-12 weeks) of most internship programs, for an internship to make any sense at all (both for you and for us), you would have to be proficient in at least one of the precise areas of our current research projects. General knowledge about embedded systems, assembler programming, or basic knowledge of hardware description languages is not sufficient to get you productive during that short a time.

Thus, for applications to be considered seriously, please mention the name of the specific research project you are applying for in the subject of your application email. Mails lacking this information will unfortunately have to be silently discarded.
